Contains:

a letter from L Hogben to A C E Suley regarding Haldane's wish to withdraw L S Penrose's existing certificate of candidature, explaining that he must make a request in writing and enclosing three letters between Hogben and the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society about the matter; and a letter from Suley to Hogben clarifying the reason for Haldane's wish to have Penrose's certificate returned, and assuring Hogben that if the current certificate has been accepted by the Society then Haldane does not wish to have it withdrawn or amended.
