Photograph of three statues of St Teliau (c.500-c.560), St Yves and St Anthony.
St Teliau, also known as Teilo and Eliud, cured the population of Wales against what was called the yellow plague. The statue was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R466/1938) but is not held by Wellcome Collection.
St Yves (1253-1303), also known as Ivo of Kermartin, is the patron saint of orphans and invoked for success in business affairs. The statue was purchased by the Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R464/1938) but is not held by Wellcome Collection.
St Anthony (c.468-c.520) is the patron saint of solitary life and invoked against ergotism, skin ailments and animal diseases. The statue was purchased by the Museum in 1929 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R4765/1937) but is not held by Wellcome Collection.
