Description

Two images on one negative: a photograph of the helm of the "Lady Dale" and a photograph of one of the laboratories on board. The "Lady Dale" was a laboratory ship presented to the Medical Research Laboratories,Gambia, in 1958 by the Wellcome Trustees. It was named after the wife of Sir Henry Hallett Dale, Chairman of the Trust. Related images: M0017407-M0017409
