Description

Black and white reproduction of a map of Ecuador to illustrate Richard Spruce's report on the Red Bark of Ecuador from the 19th century. The illustration was possibly displayed in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930, an exhibition hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930, but has not been identified in the souvenir catalogue.
