Photograph of a nipple shield and an eyebath, both silver. The nipple shield bears the owner's monogram and the date 1829. The ridge for holding the teat in position is unusual. It was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 199 and accessioned in 1919 (accession number R11425). The eyebath bears the owner's crest and an arm holding a battle-axe. It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Musuem at an unknown point and given accession number A96743
