Photograph of a 15th or 16th century cylindrical drug jar from Valencia, Spain. The original jar is described as being maiolica ware (tin-glazed pottery decorated in blue on a white background) in the accession register for the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1926. The photograph was probably used for the publication <i>Catalogue of an Exhibition illustrating The History of Pharmacy</i>, an exhibition held at the Wellcome Research Institution, London, 4 May - 28 September 1951. The drug jar is no longer held by Wellcome Collection.
