Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Autographed fan photo of Douglas Byng in one of his numerous cabaret performances, where with the aid of a few props, new characters could be created in a jiffy. He wrote all his own material, including comic songs relying heavily on double-entenfre and innuendo of a sexual nature that were considered extremely risqué, and some of which achieved the distinction of being 'banned by the BBC'. The catalogued image circa 1950."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
