Description

Photograph of three pairs of spectacles. The first pair are 17th century, probably French and have horn rims and a metal bridge warpped with either horn or leather. They were urchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1931 and given accession number A97432. The second pair have horn rims and bridge and date from c.1600. They were acquired by the Museum at an unknown point. The third pair are 17th century with horn rims and a copper bridge. They were acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1917 (accession number R5919). None of the items are held by Wellcome Collection.
