Description
Two carved wooden statues of Saint Lubin (Leobinus) French hermit, abbot and bishop, invoked against dropsy. He is one of the six healing saints from Notre Dame du Haut, Moncontour, Brittany. One statue was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R593/1938) and the other was purchased in 1928 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R2413/1937). They are not held by Wellcome Collection.
