The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "The Australian ballet dancer Robert Helpmann (1909-1986). In the course of a long career, Helpmann collaborated with his partner, the director Michael Benthall (1919-1974). Note the extreme 1940s-style make-up. ( see 2059058i)."
