Photograph of a page of notes in Joseph Lister's hand which has been annotated with a note stating they are Lister's notes of Syme's lecture for publication in the Lancet. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
