Photograph of a the maker's marks on two pairs of 18th century obstetrical forceps. One pair is a German Levret type III pair of forceps that were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A95930. They are now held by the Science Museum (object number A95930). The other is a pair of English forceps marked with a crown and star. They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A500434. They are now held by the Science Museum (object number A500434).
