Biographical note

The first symposium organised by the ICC was held in Leiden, the Netherlands, on 3-4 July 1958, and speakers included Professor Robert Cruikshank ( first Chairman), and John Pemberton (co-founder). Other ICC participants included Dr. Alice Stewart, Dr. Harold Willard (co-founder), and Drs. Charles Fletcher and Lester Breslow (EC members).

The second symposium was held in August, 1961 in Korcula, Yugoslavia, and the file includes a newspaper article (with translation) about the meeting and local impact.
