Description

Photograph of two low vacuum discharge tubes for demonstrating the brillant discharge phenomena, manufactured by Geissler from around 1857. The item on the left was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1956 (accession number R178/1956). The item on the right was purchased by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1956 (accession number R168/1956). They are not held by Wellcome Collection.
