Description
Photograph of a wooden rattle and a ceremonial axe. The rattle is North American and was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A300270. It is not held by Wellcome Collection. The ceremonial axe has an iron blade and wooden shaft. Of unknown origin, but possibly Nigerian or West African. It was acquired by the Musuem at an unknown point and given accession number A300831. It was transferred to the Fowler Museum, University of California, Los Angeles in 1966.
