Geological collection, a collection of prehistoric anthropology and one of prehistoric and Roman artefacts from the Hastings area, all acquired in Oct 1929. Includes publications by WJ Lewis Abbott on prehistory and geology and Dr Mortillet's original catalogue (MS, in French) and typed English translation, correspondence dating 1931-1935, "Catalogue of gem collection of WJ Lewis Abbott", 1929 (WA/HMM/CM/Col/1/1) and JN Carreck, "Report on some quaternary mammalian remains in the Wellcome Institute Museum, London: ex Abbott Collection", 1974 (WA/HMM/CM/Col/1/2).
