Description

Two images on one negative: a photograph of Robert Howden (1856-1940) Scottish physician and Professor of Anatomy at Durham University, and a photograph of a painting by Hugh Riviere of Joseph Lister, 1st Baron Lister (1827-1912) British surgeon. The photographs were lent to the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum by the Museum's Director.
