Description

Reproduction of a chart of the Southern Hemisphere made by Captain Cook (1728-1779). A caption is attached which reads: "Chart of the Southern Hemisphere showing the tracks of some of the most distinguished Navigators by Captain James Cook of his Majesty's Navy". The item was part of a polar exhibition held in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum's central hall in July 1930 but is not held by Wellcome Collection.
