Slides

These were used in presentations given by the company and were created, held and loaned out by the central Public Relations Photograph Library. They cover a range of subjects, both historic and contemporary such as the founding and growth of the company, the founders, the products, key executive and non executive members and international sites.

Some of the images duplicate those held elsewhere in the collections - such as the images of the founders.

The dates given are those of the original images - the slides date from the 1980s whilst the images date from the 1880s.

Outsize are 2 inches by 2 inches.

ABBREVIATIONS:
"x5" indicates the number of slides. Numbers in square brackets refer to previous references for that slide.

Separate series of Glass Lantern Slides dating from the early part of the twentieth century. Images mostly unidentified; some of the the identified images were used by Burroughs Wellcome & Co for promotional purposes.

c 1880s - 1990s

approx 4500 slides 35mm slides - mostly in colour.
