Photograph of an oil painting on panel, by or possibly after Hieronymus Bosch, depicting an operation on a cyst, late 15th - early 16th century. This reproduction was made during the VI International Congress for the History of Medicine held in Leiden 1927 at the Exposition d'art Medico-Historique and is described as Tableaux [Painting] 18, L'operation d'un kyste sebace, in the exhibition catalogue. The original painting is held by the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 20th September 1929 (PHO 36).
