Photograph of a sketch featured in a Charles Scott Sherrington exhibition for the Symposium on the History and Philosophy of the Knowledge of the Brain, 15-17 July 1957. The sketch was drawn by Sherrington for Mammalian Physiology: A Course of Practical exercises, Oxford, 1919. Charles Scott Sherrington (1857-1952) was an English neurophysiologist, histologist, bacteriologist and pathologist.
