Comprised of the following:

  • MS.3246/1: Observations preparatory to the use of Dr. Meyrsbach's medicines, 1776. With inserted engraved folding plate 'The Water Doctor' by Royce after Teniers, 1638: and a holograph 'Advertisement' (2 pp.) [1780?]. Pasted on the verso of the last leaf of the text is a letter, in the third person, from Sir John Pringle [1707-1782], dated 'Pall Mall 12 Oct. 1776', thanking Lettsom for the loan of the pamphlet. Produced in Second edition. London: E. & C. Dilly.
  • MS.3246/2: Mayersbach, T., 1776. An answer to a pamphlet written by Dr. Lettsom entitled 'Observations preparatory [etc.]', With two holograph notes by Lettsom, and inserted slips, one of which is a holograph prescription by the hand of Mayersbach. Produced in London: J. Salmon.
