Description

Two carved wooden statues of Saint Roch (Rocco) (c.1348-c.1379) pointing at a bubonic sore on his leg. The items were purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum, one in 1934 and the other at an unknown point, and were accessioned in 1937 (accession numbers R4756/1937 and R4811/1937) They are not held by Wellcome Collection.
