Description

An artwork by Tuberculosis Patient 17 which shows a woman in a floor-length dress on a stage, framed by pink curtains, with a conductor visible at the bottom of the painting."

This painting is not listed as being among those painted by this patient, in the written notes made by Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997. However, all the information on the verso of the painting matches that of the other two in this series.

The title has been taken from wording written on the verso of the artwork by Rita Simon.

On the verso of the artwork, Rita Simon has named the hospital that the patient was in, the title of the artwork and the words, "2nd painting."
