The Margaret Pyke Centre was set up by the Margaret Pyke Trust in 1969 and acts as a hub for contraceptive clinics in London. The first national office was at 27 Mortimer Street, London. The Trust's professed aim is to support education and training in the field of contraception and sexual and reproductive health. By 1973, it had become the largest family planning centre in the world, providing specialist contraceptive services and training healthcare professionals from the UK and overseas. It played a major role in advancing modern family planning practice and sexual health services in Britain.
