Description

Wooden statue of St Francis of Paola (1416-1507) also known as Francis the Fire Handler, invoked against plague and sterility and invoked for conception of male children. The statue was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point. It is not held by Wellcome Collection.

Wooden statue of Saint Luke the Evangelist, patron saint of physicians. The statue was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1934 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R4726/1937). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.

Wooden statue of St Herve (also Harvey and Houarniaule) 6th century Breton saint and one of the six healing saints from Notre Dame du Haut, Moncontour, Brittany. The statue was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R591/1938). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
