Description

Photograph of two unusually long stethoscopes. The first is from the Copenhagen Lying- in Hospital. It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1927 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R1355/1937). It is now held by the Science Musuem (object number A51053). The second belonged to Dr. Ward Cousins and was possibly intended for hospital use. It was acquired by the Museum and accessioned in 1923 (accession number R14852). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
