In 1961 Moor-Jankowski began a research project investigating animal serology and genetics. In 1965, he set up a baboon colony and animal house at Yerkes Regional Research Primate Research Center, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He later moved this unit to the New York University Medical Center, USA.
