A Valley Between Green Mountains (artwork)

A painting in Rita Simon's Traditional Massive style, depicting a valley between green mountains with a river running along it. Rita Simon stated that this artwork was, "a beautiful example of painting in depression: "the ground under my feet isn't firm". Once she moves away from the foreground, there is a great sense of space, with tumbling of water but she could not finish it".

The title has been taken from notes made during conversations between Rita Simon and Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997.
