Project Summary:This project aims to organise a national debating competition for sixth-form students. Debating Matters replaces the formality of traditional parliamentary-style debating with an innovative free-flowing approach to discussion that allows students to engage in debate with a diverse range of academics, scientists, novelists, journalists, businessmen, artists and other professionals. Debating Matters is unique among debating competitions in the prominence it gives to topics related to scientific and biomedical controversies.
