Sketch-book: North Sea and West Indies

North Sea sketches (23 November, 1832 to 12 April 1833). West Indian sketches (20 June-23 September, 1833). Author's original pencil drawings made while serving on H.M.S. Larne. A small sketch-book, signed by the author in pencil on a fly-leaf.

Some of these drawings appear in his 'Voyages of discovery in the Arctic and Antarctic Seas and round the World' published in two volumes in 1884.
