Photograph of a circular stone medallion set in an octagonal surround with a portrait of John Hunter (1728-1793) British surgeon. It was formerly on the front of the Western General Dispensary, Marylebone. After the building was demolished the medallion was presented to the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1964 (accession number R8/1964)
