From left to right: a transition instrument between an elevator, pelican and key, acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1962 (accession number R196/1962; an 18th century decorated steel dental key acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1919 (accession number R8733); a 17th century Italian iron dental key acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1919 (accession number R10828); and a modified version of a dental key with mechanical lever, 18th century, acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1919 (accession number R8715).
