Description

Photograph of two x-ray tubes. The one on the left is probably French, with an anode and anti-cathode, from c.1900. It was presented to the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1934 and accessioned in 1956 (accession number R164/1956). The one on the right was created by by A.E. Dean in c.1898. It was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1956 (accession number R177/1956). Neither is held by Wellcome Collection.
