Description

Photograph of a letter dated 28 February 1899 from the Secretaries of the Academie de Medicine announcing Lister's election as a foreign associate of the Academie. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
