Project Summary:
The Battle for Reproductive Choice is a day of debates at the Battle of Ideas 2009 festival, interrogating society’s response to new reproductive technologies. Debates include:
Frankenstein’s Daughters: From science fiction to science breakthroughs
Whose Right to Choose? Choice and regulation in 21st century reproduction
Too many children - and the wrong kind of children? Population control and reproductive rights
The Battle of Ideas takes place at the Royal College of Art, London, on 31 October and 1 November 2009. Other Wellcome Trust Biomedicine Champion debates will also form part of the festival.
