Description

Photograph of four long form or second type Laennec stethoscopes. The far left is a slip joint and the other three are screw joints. They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1936, accession numbers (from left to right) R2293/1936, 2300/1936 (purchased 1927), R2266/1936 (purchased in 1929) and R2324/1936. They are now held by the Science Museum (object numbers A60057, A55276, A79254 and A608180)
