Dartford: Wellcome Club Sport

Exteriors; a selection of black and white photographs which include the Wellcome Club house before and after it burnt. There are several images taken in the grounds included a stage in the grounds of Acacia Hall. 10 of the images have been used for the Dartford Club Centenary, 1999.Interiors; various internal rooms at the club house , including the staff dining room and opening of the W C W, Dartford in 1889. 9of the images have been used for the Dartford Club Centenary, 1999.Staff; includes black and white photographs and one negative of staff undertaking various sporting activities such ,dance classes and awards such as bowls and bowling dinner, 1966,1967. Some members of staff have been identified.2 of the images have been used for the Dartford Club Centenary, 1999.Sports; such as bowls, hockey, cricket and snooker at the club. 5 images have been used for the Dartford Club Centenary, 1999.Contacts; black and white proofs include sporting activities such as judo, cricket, hockey and bowls. Social activates include games and a beauty queen contest. Fetes; include black and white images relating to the presentation of replicas of Sudlow Medal, Dartford in 1909. There are several images of the May Pole in the grounds of Acacia Hall; sporting activities also include a 100 yards race.
