Biographical note
Mansell was a long-standing trustee of the Thalidomide Society and held the position of Chair between March 2009 and March 2010. He was married to Louise Medus-Mansell, whose papers are in SA/TSY/J/9.

Wellcome Collection holds a copy of the Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton centenary tribute film, which features Darren.
Ownership note
The papers were collated and maintained by Mansell's parents and later retained by Darren. He then gave the papers to the Thalidomide Society who deposited them with Wellcome Collection as part of accession 2748.
