Previous title, replaced January 2025: A nun wearing purple robes kneeling in a gothic church and being whipped with a red whip. Watercolour by M. Bishop, 1969.

Painting of a woman kneeling in an oversized purple robe, underneath a purple archway with a large red whip to the right and four stained glass windows above. Creator's name, interpretation and the date of creation inscribed on the reverse, probably by Edward Adamson.
