Bibliothèque hermétique. Recueil de traités alchimiques originaux, ou traduits du latin par A. Poisson. Translator's holograph MSS. Illustrated with numerous pen-drawings, inserted tradings, etc., some in colour, of alchemical symbols, figures and apparatus. In the first volume the 'Tabula Smaragdina' has an inserted title-page showing a calligraphic copy of the opening lines in coloured inks. Title-pages and some headings in red. On the verso of the second preliminary leaf of Vol. I, Poisson has written: 'Les cinq traités qui suivent et la 'Table d'Hermés' ont été imprimés et édités par Chacornac en 1890: sauf quelques legères modifications sous le titre suivant: 'Cinq traités d'Alchimie des plus grands Philosophes...traduits du latin...précédés de la 'Table d'émeraude' suivis d'un Glossaire'. Le Glossaire et la Préface manquent ici. De plus, les notes qui ici accompagnent les traités n'éxistent pas dans l'édition imprimée: enfin les notices biographiques ont subi d'importantes modifications'. Produced in Paris.
